The first Augmented Reality Application in Greece was for Santorini Greece!
In the period 2019-2022 we created an excellent presentation of Santorini in the most modern and interactive way, applying AR technology for the first time in Greece in such a peculiar, unique and attractive way… It was a promotion aimed directly to users with smart phones (Android and iPhone)… Each user, by simply aiming his cell phone camera at points of interest on the island of Santorini, could receive on his screen real-time information and data about everything he “sees”… !!! This modern service we implemented is known as “AR GEO RECOGNITION” or otherwise “Geolocation Recognition with augmented reality AR”. This feature is only achieved with AR (Augmented Reality) technology!
And we don’t only have this service for you… There is also “AR IMAGE RECOGNITION” for recognizing images, advertisements, graphics, logos, maps, prints, etc… which in this particular case we implemented by printing a truly innovative interactive printed map of the island of Santorini, where when the user was focusing his mobile camera on the special printed markings then he immediately was receiving a bouquet of information and data related to the marking he was scanning with his camera!
We have already entered the age of artificial intelligence ΑΙ and AR augmented reality is the precursor of this…
